Frisco found its audience.

And sold out the stock.

With TV, online and Holki, we sold 2x more bottles than planned.

We helped cider brand Frisco launch a new flavour and win over a whole new crowd. How?
By using our own audience research to change the way the brand spoke to people.
We moved Frisco from “party drink” territory to more natural moments with friends – at home, over a barbecue, or out at a bar. The results were huge. Frisco even had to boost production.

We weren’t afraid of humour.
 Or a little ’90s pop.

We looked inside the audience

No guesswork. We used BoomLab research and qualitative interviews to find out how women aged 25–45 really spend time together – and where Frisco fits in.

TV that hit the target

The TV campaign was 4x more effective than planned. After just six months, 36.7% of customers knew the new mango & lime flavour.

A win in a declining market

Interest in sparkling alcoholic drinks is falling and the audience is shifting to prosecco. Even so, we got a record number of people to try the new flavour. For a quarter of them, it was their first cider ever.

We softened the bad news

Frisco was switching to returnable bottles that needed a bottle opener. Not great news – so we wrapped it in humour. An AI-written song, performed by retro pop group Holki, turned the online video into a viral hit.

Influencer-led push

Alongside Holki, we brought in popular influencers Andrea Kalousová and Sára Milfajtová to support the online campaign.

Fashion brand tie-up

Fashion label Buga joined the consumer contest. People could win clothing vouchers for sharing
a photo with Frisco or a receipt.

The challenge

Frisco wanted to launch a new flavour in a market where the brand was already well known – but winning new customers was getting harder. At the same time, we had to prepare people for bottles that were no longer as easy to open.

  • How do you launch a new flavour in a weakening sparkling drinks category?
  • How do you bring back people who tried Frisco once,
but never returned?
  • How do you prepare customers for Frisco no longer being as easy to open – and for the added deposit on every returnable bottle?

The solution

Using consumer behaviour research, we reshaped the brand communication. We focused on female bonding and moved away from club scenes to more relaxed, relatable occasions. That helped us reach a big part of the audience Frisco had been missing.

  • We sharpened and streamlined the brand communication.
  • We connected TV with online, brought in influencers,
and turned the awkward news about returnable bottles into a viral clip.
  • A quarter of the consumers we brought to Frisco
were trying cider for the first time.
